All About Me in 28 Days (Day 7)

It’s kind of hard to narrow down the photos that make me laugh.  There are quite a few, but this one always leaves me smiling for hours.  It’s just a cute photo with an even better story behind it.

This is my little cow poke.  He would have been in the second grade at this time.  This may have even been at his first school dance.  He came with me because, as a High School teacher, I chaperoned the dances.  Other kids his age came along with their parents’ too, so it was a nice, family outing of sorts.

But, see, my little cowpoke wasn’t nearly as interested in the kids his own age as he was the “big girls” that his Mommy taught.  So, he played and danced with the kids that were his own age during the fast dances (and with the other teacher/Moms), but when the lights dimmed and the music slowed down, “Katie bar the door!”

My little cowboy was going around and asking the “big girls” to slow dance!  They loved it!  They were flattered and tickled that this little doll baby of a boy wanted to dance with them.  I knew that he wasn’t nearly as harmless as he appeared to be!  It was hysterical.  He was, ahem, chest high to all the girls, and they would slow dance with him.  Little did they know!

Meme,

This is Jill.  She was a Junior that year.  She is out of college now.  He still LOVES the big girls, LOL!
