Lynsey at MoscatoMom is doing a meme for February where the participants can get to know each other a bit better. We will post daily photos that help to answer a certain question or respond to a statement. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?
So, why don’t YOU, fair reader, join in the fun? It’s easy. Go to Lynsey’s blog and link up each day in February with a new post!
Day 1–Photo of yourself and 15 facts. Well, that’s little ol’ me in the top corner, smiling out at all of ya’ll. HI! [waves frantically]
So, here are 5 of the things that you might not have known (and probably didn’t care to!) about me.
1. I have lived all of my life in the state of Georgia (USA).
2. Neither of my parents are from the South. Dad is from New Hampshire and Mom is an Ohio gal.
3. I swore that I would NEVER be a teacher when I grew up.
4. I am a Georgia certified teacher (highly qualified).
5. I have taught Biology, Physical Science, Botany, Environmental Science, and 9th grade English at Spalding High School in Griffin, GA.
6. I have taught Creative Writing, Poetry Writing, Advanced Reading and Writing, 9th grade Literature, 10th grade Literature, American Literature, British Literature, Biology, Latin I and Latin II at a Christian private school.
7. Hubby and I got married on the date that would have been his grandparent’s 50th wedding anniversary, had they lived.
8. I am an adoptive parent of a gorgeous, talented, mildly autistic child.
9. I am the biological parent of what appears to be an exact clone of my husband (looks like I wasn’t even involved).
10. Before they were born, sonograms indicated that they would both be girls. Both were boys.
11. I love to make quilts! It is my therapy.
12. I am a work from home, small business owner.
13. I homeschool my children and also a boy who has cochlear implants in both ears.
14. I am passionate about helping children with special needs get their needs met. And I am NOT a trained special needs educator.
15. I will have been married 24 years on June 12th of this year. Wow! Time flies!
Its great to get to know a little more about you! Looking forward to more as the month goes along.
How NEAT! See, this is why I love doing these!! That’s too cool – my mother is a GA Cert Teacher too! In Dacula! In fact she just made Principal this year! Awesome to get to know you – even better than I did before!!
How fun is that? I had no idea that your mom was a teacher, too! Cool! What age group does she work with?
