Living Well Wednesday (2/16/11)

Hello everyone!  It’s a gorgeous day here in Georgia with soft breezes and sunshine.  It’s almost springtime here and we are getting a taste of weather in the 60s.  Ahhh!  It’s darn near perfect!

After yet another cruddy week, I am back to having gained a bit of weight again.  3.2 lbs to be exact.  It’s crazy that I keep bouncing around these few pounds each week.  Go figure.   But, with the weather improving, I am hoping to begin walking some more, so that should help to get things moving in the right direction.

It’s kind of funny because for 9 months last year, I didn’t cheat.  I didn’t want to cheat.  Now that I broke that trend (in a big way) over the holidays, it is harder than ever to stay on the straight and narrow.  I don’t know why that is.  I really enjoyed knowing that I was losing pretty steadily last year.  Why can’t that help me hold on to my motivation this time?

I guess we’ll have to file that one in with the unanswered questions of the universe file!

      I have since gotten my head back on straight and I am doing better than ever. Even went for a 3 mile walk today!

    Quit beating yourself up! Learn from this – what is different this year from last year? Do you have more stress in your life? Stress is a proven factor in weight gain. I think if you could find some relief from that, you would see some changes. I didn’t know you last year, but from what I have read from you this year, you have had to deal with some things.

    And exercise does help ease stress, so do go enjoy the great weather! I think it will help. Get some sun, that will help too!

    You have had a rough week! It is time to enjoy the warm sunshine!

    Go for a walk early in the morning before school – it doesn’t have to be long – just enough to start! Then, in the evening – take another little walk to clear your head – again – it doesn’t have to be long!

    Before long – you will be doing just what you want!

    You can do it!

    So many of us get discouraged so easily, don’t we? Just remember everything you’ve been up to lately though–LOTS! You’ll get to where you want to be soon enough; and then you’ll have to set more goals!
