Friday Favorites (Fave Valentine’s Day)
Hmmm. My favorite way to spend Valentine’s Day. That’s kind of a toughie for me. Since we have had the kiddos, hubby and I haven’t really had any real Valentine’s Day traditions to speak of (that aren’t for the kids).
But, I haven’t given up on the romance! But, my tastes probably run to the simple pleasures. I’d like to spend the whole day with hubby. We seldom get to talk without little ears everywhere. I don’t mind what we do, but some tasty food (that I didn’t cook) would be involved at some point! Time together is a real commodity these days, so I would just be thrilled to do this. Even a quiet nature walk, some silly guestures, a little squishy love talk. You know, the basics.
What can I say? It’s old school all the way!
I love it! Now that my kids are gone, that it kind of what is like here most days. We had to get to know each other again after years of being so busy with work and the activites that the kids were in. It took us about 2 years to REALLY get used to it just being us. But it has been fun!
Your time will come – just treasure your times with your kids NOW . . . they will be grown up and gone before you know it. Then you and hubby can have Valentine’s Day everyday!
