Made in the U.S.A.!

Here in the good ol’ U.S. of A., we are entering into a Presidential election cycle and will be largely bombarded with information over the next several months.  The state of the economy (whether in repair or faltering, depending on the point of view) will take center stage.

The area that I live in has been particularly hard hit economically and it seems to be a huge topic of local conversations.  This area used to be predominated by fabric and clothing mills, letting Big Cotton support this area.  Now that the mills have closed, it is largely a “bedroom community” for Atlanta with service companies predominating the area.  Having a new industry move into the area, providing jobs and products is a huge thing!  Most areas are scrambling to attract industry to their areas.

Another Hatchett Job blog, www.jans.jamberrynails.comSo, I am very pleased to know that the companies that I work for support American workers and one company is manufactured completely in the USA, while the other’s product line is crafted 95% or more in the USA, outsourcing only those items that can’t be manufactured here at the current time.  I am not against foreign investment, but it is nice to see industrialized countries who have a highly skilled work force get the upper hand sometimes!

  1. Jan, I LOVE both companies you represent! Not only for the fabulous products and quality, but also because they are made here in the U.S.A. It’s so nice to have quality products made here at home :)
