LWW–2.15.12

Welcome back to this week’s installment of Living Well Wednesday, a meme hosted by the lovely and talented blogger, Natalie Collinson.  Each week, bloggers link up to discuss how they have fared that week toward reaching goals that they have set for themselves.  We hope you will join us over atNatalie’s blog and either participate with a post, or check out what we are up to this week.Another Hatchett Job blog

This week was full of surprises for me!  On Monday, I dared to step on the scale.  On. The. Scale.  Evil. Evil. Scale.  Some times to be able to set a personal record is a good thing.  Other times, not so much!

Needless to say, I found myself quite shocked and appalled, to say the least.  So, back on a more structured plan I go.

And that brings me back to the next surprise.  I went to Zumba tonight for the first time with my friend Misty.  I signed up for a 7 day free trial.  Today, we ran into some other mutual friends there also, which was fun.  I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to complete the class, but I am still laughing at how uncoordinated I am!  Honestly, I am not sure that parts of my body can actually move like that, but I did have a good time.

And I will go back!

Have you ever tried Zumba?

  1. Can you believe I am yet to try Zumba too?! It sounds so much fun! I keep meaning to order the Wii version but haven’t got round to it just yet.

And those scales…. stick them in a cupboard until they learn to behave better :)

      Natalie,
I have hesitated forever because of some joint issues I have from carrying extra weight. But, oh, is it ever FUN! It is fast paced and funky. The time goes by pretty quickly while you are in there. I had to modify some moves (can’t jump) but was still able to complete the entire workout and was covered in sweat when I left. I am going back tomorrow.

If you try it, I would love to know what you think!

The only Zumba I’ve seen (or even tried) was at home, alone, with the late night “As Seen On TV” channel. LOL! Congratulations on making it through another week–especially with Zumba!
Let us know how it goes; I just might have to try it for real!

      Ann,
You should give Zumba a try. I am terribly heavy and out of shape. I didn’t really think I could make it through a whole call. I danced. I laughed. I got all nasty sweaty. And I did it.

And I am only a teensy bit sore around the edges. I expected that I would be living on Aleve today, but I wasn’t.

Plus, any gals only activity with Christmas twinkle lights and a disco ball has got to be fun!

  3. I have yet to try Zumba myself. I’ve heard great reviews and it seems like a lot of fun. I might get around to trying it. Good luck!
