Well, as usual for me, life is pretty much in survival mode right now.  I am trying to eat healthy and exercise a bit, but I haven’t gotten on the scale anymore.  I don’t know when I will.  At this point, I am working on establishing healthy habits and not much more than that.  But, it’s okay.  I can handle that much right now.  I just think that moderation has got to be the proverbial key for me.  I just can’t cut everything out forever.  That’s how I started gaining back weight over the holidays (and beyond).  So, I am eating good meals and not snacking, taking seconds, or eating sweets, but I am cutting myself some slack on weekends.  If I lose weight, fine.  It will be slowly, but I guess I can wait.  If I don’t, well maybe I can be a (somewhat) healthy fat chick.  Who knows?

This week, I have had some personal setbacks, most notably having to cancel my registration for our National Sales Rally in Texas this year.  I had been so psyched up to go and so excited to see the new Fall line in person.  But, my oldest son is having more “episodes” (we’re still waiting for results from his recent testing, and I would have to be gone for a full week in order to go (driving to save money).  That is just too long to be away from him and his medical issues this year.  But, as much as I am confident that I have made the best decision for my family, I am still hugely disappointed about it.  Overall, I am fine with most of it as the largest bulk of the trainings will be featured online after rally ends, but I am gutted about not seeing the new jewelry release and being able to see and feel the new pieces.  Pictures and photography often don’t do any justice to the real beauty of our jewelry.  Sigh.

So, that is this week’s update–the good, the bad, and the chunky!

Till next time,

Oh Jan! I share in your disappointment! I’m keeping you all in my prayers!

  2. Oh Jan, I am sorry to hear your son is still having episodes, I know this is a very stressful time for you all.

I share your disappointment in not being able to make your company rally, but family must always come first and you have made the right choice. You wouldn’t have relaxed with worry if you did attend.
