I apologize for posting my Friday Favorites on Saturday, but such is life! Right now, my internet service is spotty at best, so I am at least trying to get things in on time!
Okay, to start with, it is almost a misnomer to say that I have favorite exercise equipment considering that I really don’t enjoy exercise generally. The only thing that i have ever stuck with has been walking. About 3 years ago, I even trained to be in the Komen Foundations, 3-day walk for the cure. I trained until I was able to walk 15 miles at a time and then I got a stress fracture in my foot. I was SO bummed about it, but there was nothing to be done and I am very proud that I had that kind of endurance built up. But, no good deed goes unpunished, so that broken foot ended up being the catalyst to find out that I had been born with a mild form of club foot and that I had too much flex in my foot bones, so I couldn’t even train to do the walk on the following year. Sigh.
So this is a representation of my heavy duty, orthopedic, motion control walking shoes (don’t have a picture of my dirty ones). I do hope to do more walking this spring. It’s probably the only exercise that I even remotely enjoy!
Aww Jan! I can’t image how you felt to do all that work and end up with that injury! But I am sure there were other health benefits that you gained during that time.
Actually I am like you, I don’t enjoy exercise one bit . . . but I am trying to learn how, lol! Just like peas (eewww!), I make myself eat them, but I don’t enjoy it. I do it for the hubby because he loves peas.
Kim,
I’d rather eat peas–all day every day! LOL!

I am sorry that you worked so hard and was unable to complete your quest.
But, I agree with Kim, I am sure that it was great for your health.
I don’t love exercising – in fact – I would rather do any thing but exercise. However, since starting LWW, I have exercised on the treadmill regularly. I enjoy it more than walking outside, because, my allergies don’t get aggravated in the house!
