Crazy Mom’s Quilt Along

Looks like Crazy Mom (Amanda Jean) is at it again!  This time, she is hosting a 36 patch quilt along.  It’s just getting started, so why don’t you join us?  It’s not like I have nothing better to do or anything, but I figure that I can do a little bit here and there each week during the quilt along and then have an extra quilt top for something or another.  Please note that the photo is from Amanda Jean’s website and I want to give credit to her (Crazy Mom) for the photo.

If you’ve been reading here for very long, you may remember that my Mom and I are making up quilt tops to give away to folks who have been sick, need comfort, etc.  It’s all part of a way to whittle down our combined stash to manageable levels.  This quilt can be done a few blocks at a time, in and amongst sewing these quilts to give away, and may very likely end up being a bonus quilt top to give away also.  Who knows?

Soon, I will be posting some blocks I am making and the latest of the give away quilts for a sweet lady we know and love.

Due to my son’s seizures as of late, I am pretty much housebound and this little bit of quilting allows me to have something pleasant to do and something to think about (that isn’t depressing).  Quilting is WAY more fun that autism and seizures.
